Co-founder with Dr. Raheem Young – Welcome To Fatherhood
They are two childhood friends running a nonprofit Welcome to Fatherhood Inc. in Chicago, Il. They decided to fill the space of being fathers also via launching a podcast Welcome To Fatherhood.
Younger men need to hear information about being fathers and the older need to vent; men don’t often have the platform to talk about things they go through as fathers. Telling stories for the older men (great dads) has been therapy as well as lay a framework for the younger men.
This podcast is one for “people.” Women are invited to come onto the show because there are listeners that can relate to the comments of the women; conversations about fathers (having a Dad, the experience of having a dad, etc.)
Sir Royce’s favorite episode – The Mike Wilkins episode has a civil rights story attached to his fatherhood journey.
One-on-one audio conversations opened them to the whole USA, worldwide. Video content is coming in the future because everybody has a phone!
